Duracell/Rayovac Label Project

Created and revised hundreds of bilingual product labels and packaging for licensed Duracell and Rayovac products. Multiple product categories included LED and CFL bulbs, and batteries for car & truck, marine, cell phone, laptop, SLA, etc. Started on contract in late fall, met extremely aggressive year-end deadline with minimal proofing rounds, exceeded quotas for daily output, and released all files for production to vendors in China and the U.S. Did such a good job, they hired me!

CASE/IH Farm Progress Show

Assignment at Equity Creative in Kenosha assisting with huge volume of tradeshow materials for Case IH, in preparation for Farm Progress Show. Updated product catalogs, ads, brochures and created dozens of sales collateral pieces adhering to strict graphic standards set by client. Executed all under very tight deadlines and performed so well, I was the last remaining contract employee kept on to work through projects until production wrapped!

Also assisted with production work for Summerfest materials including ads, daily schedule flyers, and other miscellaneous print. All items needed to be done FAST before opening day!

Private Brand Team - Marketing Resource Planner

Took a leap of faith and accepted a promotion to newly-formed private brand new business sales team with JohnsonDiversey. The position involved project management, design, oversight of brand standard execution ... and lots of facetime with clients (national broadline distributors such as Grainger, SYSCO, and Unisource) to pitch new design ideas, and manage projects. Our goal? To make our jobs obsolete by steadily changing the JD work culture. This meant successfully navigating a high-pressure sales environment with accelerated product commercialization, while still working with a smile and diplomacy across all in-house departments (chemical lab, packaging, graphics, marketing, production facility, supply chain, etc.). A neat trick, but we did it!
